Honu is the Hawaiian word for Green Sea Turtle

Honu is the new Ohalola Mascot! There were many reasons why we chose a turtle as our mascot, one being they are just so cool. The main reason why is because of the meaning of it. In Hawaiian culture, Honu means green sea turtle but it symbolizes so much more! It symbolizes good luck, endurance and long life, and those are 3 things I think we can all get behind!
